Part of what Hills-Hornsby Koala Project does is biodiversity monitoring. We record/monitor for the the presence of local species, recording via song meter, trail camera, walks and scats & tracks. We then upload this data onto Bionet. Through our Bionet entries we hope to demonstrate to the state government how important our region is and that it is a biodiversity hotspot right in Sydney! We are also doing this monitoring work to monitor for mange on wombats.
